Your data at KINVEL What the KINVEL server keeps, why, and how to take it back.

What is kept

Your account: email, the name you gave, a hash of your password (never the password itself) and, if you turn it on, the key of two-factor sign-in (encrypted).

Your computers: the name KINVEL Launcher gives them, a fingerprint of the machine (a hash, not the hardware itself) and their public keys, when they were added and last seen.

Your subscription and orders: the plan, how long it is paid for, the amounts and the payment provider's order numbers. Card details stay with the payment provider.

When the editor was allowed to open on which computer.

For administrators: what they did on the server, with the address they did it from.

What is not kept

Your scenes, renders and files stay on your computer: the editor does not send them anywhere. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking.

Cookies

Only the ones the site needs to work: your sign-in, protection of forms, the language of pages and, for five minutes, the step of signing in with a code.

Where

The server: Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany.

Cloudflare passes the traffic to the server and sees the addresses of visitors for that.

Emails (sign-in links, password resets) go out through an email service.

How long

As long as you have the account. Records of paid orders are kept as long as tax law asks (up to ten years), without your name once the account is deleted.

Your rights

You can download everything kept about you and delete your account at any time from your account page. For anything else (to correct or restrict your data, or to object), write to us.
